Seasons’ is the result of observing nature and what humankind does to nature. Although originally sceptical, Susanne fell under the spell of the immense aesthetic and sentimental potential. The ‘Seasons’ collection now consists of several groups of rings:
Made in Turkey’ (1), the result of a study trip
Cultivated Nature (2), in which the Netherlands excels
Roses are Forever (3), the cliché of beauty
Secret Eye (4), the concealed naked body…
Sleeping Beauty (5), the flower as inanimate image
Deep Blue (6), the underwater world
Autumn Homage (7), the process of dying out
Nature is abstracted and cultivated until it becomes archetypes of universal beauty.
