Renata Del Medico is an Italian architect who is involved in several projects, which run parallel qua time and content. For about three years now she has been inspired by landscapes, fragments of which are translated into textiles, embroidered with thread and beads. Patterns, structures and colours blend, via a slow, almost ritual process, into richly splendid worlds… These ‘Soft Landscapes’ may be worn on the body in various ways, for example as cuffs or breastpieces.
