Boris de Beijer graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, with a collection of brooches and pendants. The theme of his work is to isolate the obvious and commonplace. He modifies easily recognisable contemporary objects to give them new forms so that it is impossible to categorise or guess their function.
